Joelle + Justin
Wedding Photography Timeline
Stopping for photos when we see: pretty doorways // architecture // massive stairs // reflections in windows // safe crosswalks with city backdrop // industrial garage doors // archways.
- 2:00 – AIRBNB // Jeanette arrives 126 W. Elder Street, Cincinnati. Tell everyone to “act natural” while knowing there will be candids. 🙂 Group shots of girls. Begin fly-on-the-wall photos, candids, details, shoes, moody artistic shots. Guys arrive 2:20. Justin shot with guys.
- 2:30 – WALK TO FINDLAY MARKET // “Bridal Party” shots. After group shots, begin couples only images with Joelle & Justin at OTR/Findlay Market. Leave for Roebling Bridge at 3pm.
- 3:15 – ARRIVE AT ROEBLING BRIDGE. Park near Smale Park. Various shots of skyline, Serpentine Wall, Bridge imagery. We will see what we can capture while walking.
- 4:00 – LEAVE FOR RENAISSANCE (immediately start remaining shots upon our arrival, meet outside at street).
- 4:15 – AT RENAISSANCE, WALK ABOUT THE BLOCK: Finish 1:1 couples shots. Walk around the block for street photos, crosswalk, old garage door, city images.
- 5:00 – FAMILY PHOTOS: if Renaissance Hotel doesn’t allow photos will need to move the location. (Jeanette will call to find out).
- 5:30 – Drive to the Annex at Rhinegeist

Our Training // Linen & Elm Photography is always investing in our business, and continually evolving. We are current Sage Journey students, taught by Otto and James with James x Schulze (Vogue’s “Best Wedding Photographers in The World”). We recently participated in a Miami photography retreat managed by AMV Weddings, worldwide luxury wedding planners. My associate photographer is an on-field photographer for The University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team.
Our Editing Style // Our signature style is clean, soft, and romantic. We average around 50-75 images per hour of shooting, each hand-edited. We embrace movement, sunlight and love black-and-white images. While the majority of your gallery will include traditional photos, we mix it up with our own artistry. We take into account the setting, the light, the weather, the florals, and your colors to arrive at a final, custom edit which is presented in your sneak peek gallery.
Good photography is storytelling…without words.
Trends // Couples that hire us typically want an elegant timeless gallery, but don’t mind a few fun trends to include in their final gallery. Examples of these trends are motion blur, polaroids and grainier, vintage-looking edits. We love it all!
Posing // Real moments that are unexpected candids and unposed is our ultimate goal. This candid style is called documentary style photography. We do prompt you throughout the day but the ultimate goal is to look natural. If your smile grows tired, laughing is always the cure! Couples portraits are a combination of posed and unposed. These are some of the most important images of the day. Group portraits are typically posed.
